AUGUST 23, 2014: Boswell's play The Long Shrift will close. The off-Broadway production by the Rattlestick Theatre Company features Scott Haze, Ahna O'Reilly, Brian Lally, Allie Gallerani, and Ally Sheedy. James Franco directed the play. David Van Asselt is the theater's artistic director.
OCTOBER 22-26: Tomales Bay Writers' Conference. Boswell will teach an advanced workshop and give a reading. Other faculty include Antonya Nelson, Pam Houston, Kwame Dawes, Dorothy Allison, and Andre Dubus III.
NOVEMBER 6: Boswell reads at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.
NOVEMBER 13: Boswell reads at Pacific University in Portland, Oregon.
Robert Boswell teaches in the University of Houston PhD, MFA, and undergraduate programs. His colleagues include Antonya Nelson, Peter Turchi, Alex Parsons, Mat Johnson, Chitra Divakaruni, Edward Albee, Tony Hoagland, Ange Mlinko, Kevin Prufer, Martha Serpas, and Nick Flynn. The programs are directed by James Kastely.
Robert Boswell also teaches in the Warren Wilson Low Residency MFA Program for Writers.
